Here's a DIY that costs practically nothing and easy to do. I've been riding my bike for about 3 weeks now and I took off the fairings to have a look see in there to make sure there's no leaks and what not only to discover about 50 million pebbles and small stones fall onto the ground that got picked up from the front wheel and thrown backwards below the radiator and get trapped at the bottom of the side fairings. I removed the side fairings, then removed the front cowl behind the front wheel and used a hot glue gun to tack in a standard window/door type screen. Air will of course still flow through, but small stones certainly won't. Here's a pic:

Thanks guys. I would have gone all the way up with it, but I only had enough screen to cover that part and it was like 2 am and I just wanted to get it back together for a ride. Next time I have it off again I'll go up to help keep the radiator from getting pounded from stones.

Did you use aluminum screening or rubber/plastic screening? I'm sure that the temperature around the area of those headers gets pretty darn hot at a standstill. Probably not much to worry about in motion, though.

Looks nice though! Is it tough to mess with when you remove the fairings, like to change your oil?

Damn! Is this still floating around on here? That came off a long time ago. Is guess constant pounding from road debris finally made it pull off on it's own. I think I completely pulled it off like 8 months ago.
