no, try shifting before you come to a complete stop. Otherwise you gotta do what you are doing to get the gear to engage. It''s normal. It''s the mechanics of how gears work.

media -> RE: Clutch?? (6/13/2008 1:24:47 PM)

pretty sure its normal, my bike and all my friends bikes do it if you dont shift before coming to a stop

PlayfulGod -> RE: Clutch?? (6/13/2008 1:34:53 PM)

try just revving it a bit n then try to put it in gear. Bike trannies arent syncronized like a cars tranny is. So a clunk here n there is normal.

normal, I rarely take mine out of gear at stop lights. But I have had the same thing happen b4.

RedRider07 -> RE: Clutch?? (6/13/2008 2:00:04 PM)

I''ve heard of this happening to, but try to get in the habit of leaving it in gear incase of an accident behind you or a car going to fast to stop!

heybuddy1901 -> RE: Clutch?? (6/13/2008 2:04:50 PM)

normal.

same thing happens if your in a high gear (4th, 5th, 6th) and come to a stop with the clutch in

you have to slip the clutch a little to get it to pop into the next lowest gear.

wally28_osu -> RE: Clutch?? (6/13/2008 4:11:02 PM)

It is normal. Just slip the clutch slightly and roll the bike at the same time and it slips right in. Like Redrider, I try to leave mine in gear in case you get the idiot that does not see you at the light
