Today I got a really nice surprise from my ''''''''93 900rr.

I was at a dead stop, at a stop sign and about to turn right.

As I''m about to turn right, I see some jerkweed walking across the street and blocking my path.    I didn''t mind waiting for him, but this guy was a young punk and for whatever reason I guess he was jealous since he was walking and I was riding, he started to stare at me in a bad way.

So, rather then wait for jerkweed to finish crossing the street completely, I safely ride around him and twist the throttle.

I must have been upset because I think I twised the throttle a lot....and suddenly I felt the front wheel rising off the ground.

This has never happened to me before and I smoothly and quickly eased off the throttle and brought the wheel back down.

I''m glad I didn''t get into a tank slapper because when the wheel was rising, I was just coming out of that right turn and the handlebars were slightly canted to the right when the wheel was in the air.

Is this pretty normal for our bikes?

yea,
it''s all on how you tweek the throttle. it happens all the time, some times if i take off the wheel does not waunt to come dowm at all so by 3rd gear i let it come down. it''s pretty cool.

It''s an awesome feeling to know my bike is one of those that can lift the front wheel just by twisting the wrist!

I love my 900rr more and more each day

It''s even nicer to get that bike leaned over and drag a knee on it.

Yeah I''m still trying to work up the courage to lean it more and more in turns.

I''m still getting used to the power of the bike, since my last one was a VFR 750 and the one before that a 600f2

Oh yes it was quite a rush!

I never knew my bike had it in her and was blown away to feel it wheelie, even if it lifted just a little.

I dunno how high it would have gone had i kept the throttle on!

My 600f2 couldn''t do that, neither could my VFR 750 or the ''05 600rr I rode once, though I didn''t nail it that hard.

That bike had very little low-end though so I doubt I could''ve raised the front just by giving it throttle and no clutch.

Those out there who really can drag thier knees on a 900rr...   and you will smoke more hotter if you are in a much more lighter modern sportsbikes...

I''m really into it but I don''t have a knee pad.... so I keep off my limit..

MT,

LMAO I''ll bet you had a rush, and were thinking man I look good, but I better get this think back on the ground..... Yes they will lift up real nice but one thing for sure I sure wouldn''t of grab a hand full of second gear.... Or she would of really been up dancing........

Well I hope the both of you enjoyed the dance...and they will be more to come if you want...

For as big as it is it likes leaning over. holds a line pretty good too. Going to the track Saturday hope to finally have some pics this time.

Stynk.... What is your rear tire size? I''ve heard that a 190 will be much more difficult to lean and curently I''m running with a 190. My legs will start to cramp as well when I start to lean over aggresively too.. haha.

Sorry to jack your post MT.....
