hey bro,

I can''t really help you with your sale, but I was just wondering why you are going back? The reason I ask is because I have a 954 now but I wanted to get something a little newer, more power, etc..... so I was looking at a 06/07 cbr 1000rr. Am I making a bad move getting rid of the 954 for the 1000?

thanks in advance

Im just going back for stunts. I love my 1000, but I had more fun with the 954. The bp is so high on the 1000. Both of them are great bike. In my book as long as its a honda you cant go wrong:).

I guess it depends how nice his 54 is, i would go check it out. If its really nice take the deal, but just take a few things off of your bike to help make up the difference, like the pc3, and rearsets. Im sure yours is worth the 7500, but if his is minty its worth about 6000 on the open market whether he knows it or not.

If your only wanting $7500, it doesnt really matter how much stuff you have on it. If his bike (even bone stock) is in nice shape, its worth $5500-$6000 all day long.

Personally, I''d ask at least $8500 for yours if its as nice and loaded as you said it is. Keep in mind a lot of people looking for 1000RR''s are looking at the 06-07 models. The 08''s are not to everyones liking. I think the new styling of the 08''s has brought up the value of the older models.

But, in the end, if you only trying to get 7500 out of yours, 2 grand plus a decent 954 is a decent deal.

And +1 on everything TK954RR said.
