Heres the deal with the PC3 vs. tuning the ECM.

Would you rather use a hammer to drive a nail through some wood or your forehead?

Bottom line, pick up a PC3 for a buck fifty and a custom tune for maybe $300, or blah blah with the ECM and get half as good a tune if your lucky and risk frying a $125 part for some shitty performance gains.

i must''ve missed sumthing. since when was a pc3 only $150? every place i check is around $300 just for the pc3. if its only 150 i''ll go ahead and get it.

oh ok. new or used? a guy i rode with one time said he ordered one from a website and they sent him a used one, and had to go through a bunch of shit to get his money back. if they''re new i''m gonna have to try one out

They are usually new but out of package, which means you have to download the software from the website, which is just as easy as loading it off the disk and makes it a 150 buck discount. I just saw one for a 929 for $50 on craigslist, just keep an eye out and you can find anything you want.
