Why would you want to ?? a CBR1000F is FASTER than a 900RR.........!![:)]
The 929 and 954 were quicker, tho''........[:)]

OT but I rode a CB900 Hornet last year and thought the engine was pretty weak over 5000rpm and over 120kph its powerband dropped right off.

If I understand mr king right, he´s asking for which year engines from 900RR will fit in his -96 900RR-frame, either he has a frame/bike without engine, or a bike with a faulty engine?
From looking at pics of the 900RR, I think that years from -96 up to -99 will be engine swapable (new word?), since the frame and clutch cover looks the same, and rest of the bike only has minor plastic changes.
The 1000F is unlikely to be able to fit a 900RR engine, since it has a much more forward tilted engine with the air cleaner directly under the fuel tank. Doing such a mod would also be useless, since it has less hp then the 1000F engine.

Ah ! Now I understand... Maybe looking at the  manuals will help - try www.blackbears.ru - think CBR900 manuals are there. Otherwise, maybe www.Mrcycles.com for part no''s and fiches.
