for a diognosis? wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i hate getting my bike worked on. especially easy stuff that i just dont know how to do.

so heres the problem. my headlights went out, and so i took off all the fairings. changed the fuse once and it instantly popped. so its a fault right? but how do i locate this fault and how then do i fix it?

if i dont figure it out then i have to wait till next week friday to get it diognosed, then another few days to get it actually fixed. total bs.

any help is appreciated

^^ Then get a service manual. It''ll actually tell you exactly what is inbetween the fuse and the headlamps (like relays and where the ground cables are.)

Ground is green, hot is red/black.

If your blowing fuses instantaneously, there must be a short somewheres..Not much help, I know, but its 2 cents worth....

ok ok, i did some exploring and found out my left bulb was busted and when i took the dust cover off there was a ton of white dust?? im guessing some powder that covers the bulb not sure tho

question: can a busted bulb actually pop fuses like that? or should i keep looking for a fault or short?

Ok yes that would cause you to pop fuses so fix the bulb and then replace the fuse. But you also have to ask yourself why did the bulb break? It is most likely just a bad bulb but fix it and see if works good. Hope it is all ok man.

good call by the way. i took  that shiz out and put a new fuse in. im just running highs right now cuz the shop was closed by the time i got it fixed and anyways it will most likely not have bulbs in stock. it turns out i found a brown and black ground to the headlights on the edge of being unplugged, and not to mention moisture and spider webs inside the bulb plugs.

all is well in the land of my bike. but now i have a new problem. i decided to instal my sliders when i finished with my headlights. it was already 1 oclock.. not a good idea. now i have an ugly ass hole on hte right side completely off target. i was soooooooooooo sure of it too. and then i have one stray pilot hole on the left.

f it ill get new fairings when i lowside :)
