Looks awesome. You really did a good job. I'm probably going to do this, but I'm going to get an extra seat off ebay or something and attach the cowl to the stock seat with the foam and everything removed. I can't wait to see it on the bike all finished.

I am FINISH!!!!!!!
Here it is, after hours of breathing in dust and fumes! So far I have 4 layers of clear coat on it. I'm going to put it on the bike in a day or so when the clear coat completely hardens! It turned out all right. If you have an extra seat it will be twice as easy, especially for the mounts! Anyways I will post a couple of pic's when I put it on the bike. If anyone tries this and need some pointers give me a shout!

Great work, can you take a picutre of the under side? So the fiberglass encompasses the styrofoam or did you just use the stryofoam as a mold and discarded it?

Dude you need to invest in a digital camera.....

great job, arkas. i know you'll enjoy it even more, knowing the work you put into it and made it yourself. i'm actually starting a similar project -- using a spare seat i bought to make a replacement cowl. think i'll take some pictures too and track the progress.

can't wait to see your pics of it on the bike.

See page two for an under side picture. Yes I left the styro-foam inside the cowl. I did this for one reason, it provides support just in case some retard decides to lean on it thus the styro-foam will overall strengthen it!

Very nicely done.

So was it worth doing it yourself? Or would you recommend just buying one?
