ORIGINAL: sup_uni did you get it on the bike yet? Yep.....I had it on but I have to redo the mount that locks onto the bike. The material that I used was to soft and kept bending every time I put it on. I still have some minor adjustments to do but besides that it looks pretty good. I just applied another layer of clear coat so I am going to have to wait a couple of day to let it completely harden. I'll post some pics of it mounted once I am done.

Just reading this post..............Great work on the cowl. I've got no skills, so I shelled out $180.00 to the parts department for a factory cowl.

Ok guys, I'm takin my stab at this... got a second pass. seat from blueblurr on 600rr.net for 35 shipped, not too bad if you ask me... Gonna hit it with bondo and start shaping tomorrow, and then either fiberglass, kevlar, or c/f over that... basically whatever I can get my hands on... I don't think I'm going to paint it to match the factory, the paint for my RR is like 100 a pint and I need a base and a top coat cause it's a pearl... so that's 200 in paint alone... Anyway, we'll see how it turns out. keep you guys updated.
