I'm glad you guys posted all your pictures and tips. I've always wondered if this could be a "do-it-yourself" project. Looks like a lot of work but there's nothing like the feeling of making something with your own hands. I'm gonna take this project to a different level though. I have an extra tail section that I want to turn into a race fairing. So I'm gonna use my seat as a mold like Arkas suggested and then I'll see if I can fill the "seat hole" to transform the whole tail fairing into a race fairing. I'll come back in a couple weeks with some pictures. Thanks guys!

Damn....where were you guys about 6 months, tons of aggravation, and now, $500 later? I had to get an Opps Racing Carbon Fiber tail piece, which will look great...but...shit... Anyway...nice work...
