after lurking, debating, giving up, and finding another bike, I now finally own a 1993 F2. it''s a track-only bike with the following mods: - 2 brothers ''racing'' pipe - SS front brake lines - CFM rearsets - woodcraft clip-ons - 520 sprockets and chain - Penske double-clicker rear shock - 1.0 fork springs - big ''''ole autometer 14,000 RPM tach (currently not mounted. the stupid needle fell off!) - a good bit of safety wiring. more than enough for track days. probably only an hour of drilling away from WERA spec. - cheetah bodywork (which is crappy, but cheap, and effective) and I think that''s about it. No idea of the mileage because the stock guages are long gone, but it had 13,000 in 2000 when it became a track bike. knowing a bit of the bike''s history, i''m generously estimating the mileage at around 19,000 (figure no more than 350 miles per weekend at the track). Even if it''''s more than that, the oil was changed every 4 trackdays, or more regularly. The bike came to me in rattle-can black with white number plates (not like the PO had an ''''expert'''' license though). #55 I''m trying to finish up the clear-coat (still rattle-can) on my Cleveland Browns paint job before the weekend. Bike will be #80. (we''''ll see who gets the joke) pics posted when the paint is done and the plastics are back on. i''ve gotta get an oil filter today too :P
