I was reading some post on installing the tail section for the 7 star fairing is a problem.  Some of you guys were using black dust tape, which I didn''''t want to use.  I found a way to install it tight, if you look at where the rear center section (over the tail light) is bolted on with the two bolts you will notice taps on the side fairing and center section that overlaps each other.  I lined them up and drill a small hole and placed a nut and bolt.  Hold it on real good, not perfect, but better than the tape.

As for those that swapped to the 97-98 body style, there are a couple of component needed to mount the rear center onto the top part of the bracket.  You will need number 9, 10 & 6 x 2, cost me $6.36.  I got my from Scotts Powersports in Coopersburg, PA.  They will ship, if you are unable to pickup, got to the website.  Is located in the seat section of the drop down menu in Parts Finder.

I take picture tonight and post them in this post,

since you''re talking 7stars..I purchased the same kit.  I have a problem though with mine.  The right upper fairing has no mounting point to connect it to the light.  I don''t know if this is normal but it''s frustrating the hell out of me.  Is this normal or did the Chineseman screw up? I''m about ready to go ballistic!!  All your help is truly appreciated!!!

Known issue with the china ebay fairing kits. Some people love them some people hate them.

Yeah that is the work around or fix. Alot of people say they end up drilling holes. I should have stated that in the last reply. sorry guys. Most people get it on there with no problem but they say it takes some work.

Yes, it does.  You don''t know how many nuts, bolts, screws, pins and nut clamps are missing until you try putting on the new fairing.  I have to do out like 10 time getting a nut and bolt here and there.

I got tired and got a pack of screws, nuts and bolts with 20 different size. If it didn''t fit from what I had I left it.  But it turn out I have all them mounted.
