my advice... dont use it. unless ofcourse you just use it to transport a 2nd helmet for a passenger

Honda was on some serious drugs when they made that. I never use mine, infact a co-worker/friend of mine and I, made up some brackets and welded them on to the frame right under the seat just like most of the newer bikes. Now I can ride with my second helmet just incase some cuttie wants to hop on and take a little spin![;)] And i can also lock them up when I''m parked.

I dont know what you guys are talking about? I use mine all the time. Works fine. I only use it when parked though

ill remember that when you get your lid stolen and post up on here how theives suck and should fry in hell or when you come out and find trash in it or drinks poured into it

I''m just guessing, but it sounds like that may have happened to you? If so, that sucks! I''ve never had that happen, not saying that it can''t! I was born and raised in L.A. and have lived and played in some of the grimmiest nieghborhoods out there, and I can truly say that in all my years of riding, I have never heard of anyone doing that before. Taking your whole bike yes! But never messing with you lid. Your right, may they burn in hell if and when it does happen.

^ actually never happened to me but ive seen it happen and no i live in sacramento california. rather nice city. not to mention countless threads i have seen in my time while being a member on here of it happening to other members. its very preventable...take your lid with you , if for no other reason it does make a great conversation starter with the ladies [:D]

ok lets say im tranporting a 2nd helmet...which i want to do...how does it work..do you just let it dangle or am i doing it wrong?????

I live in SLO, 5 hours south of you on the coast. Sac has bad areas, believe me lol

No, thats basically how it works. You put the metal loops from the helmet strap in there, lock her up and good to go.

whenever i have to transport a helmet i just hook it up to my seat strap, loop the chinstrap through the seat strap and hook it up like its on your head pull it tight and it wont go anywhere...provided you do it right.  not a lock just a good way to carry a helmet to the ladies

sproutf3 is right thats how i carry mine. there are 2 ways, (1) u can hook it and let it hang on the side or (2) once u hook it twist it up tight and it will stay right on top of the seat.
