Is it a CBR 1000RR or a CBR600 F4I. There is not a CBR1000 F4i.

It sounds too good to be true, so be careful.

That is one hell of a deal! Go for it if the bike is mechanically sound.

Unless he did a conversion on it it had a different tail end because 2004 had a single seat.

Also consider that the F4i isn''t the best choice to learn on if this is your first bike or don''t have any experience.

Find out why he did the conversion, for looks only or was it wrecked and then put together with whatever he could find. FYI, most people do find the split seat like that more desirable than the single seat like mine.

Good luck.

he told me that he did a lot of changes to the bike but never drove it that much because he didnt want to put a lot of miles on it... but yes i will try to find out more. based on your judgement, if the seat wasnt changed.. what year could that be? would it be an earlier model or a late model?

here are some picts of it.. tell me what you think!

It should say the year on the sticker on the frame next to the gas tank in the first picture. I believe it would be a 2001-2003, they went to a banana seat in 2004.  Like I said, more people like the split seat like that bike than seat like mine, so if everything is in order, it sounds like a nice bike. Everything else looks stock except for the ugly red handgrips, I think it is not a converted 04 because the bike still has the stock turnsignals and mudflap, if someone was goint to change the tail, they wouldn''t leave that other stuff stock.

Thanxx for the advice.. i dont really know a lot about bikes but i do really want to get one cause all my friends are getting suzuki and yamaha and i want to get somethign different.. one of my main concern is the price and all the gears... i know that to get the best gear (leather) i would have to pay a lot so with all the gears and that bike... i would think its a good price.. right? or could it be offered somewhere else a little bit lower?
based on what you guys have seen so far, whether its a 01 or 03? is that price reasonable?
and yes that handgrip is ugly.. i just noticed that turn signal when you mentioned it lol.. yeah that is definietaly going.... i would probably end up adding more stuff to the bike though.

Reguardless of what year it is $2500 is a steal for that bike, at least from looking at the pics.

+1

Get it (as long as you can see the bike in person and it has a clear title)

oh yes i will.. i have to wait for the divorce paper to go through... the reason the bike is going for less is because the husband have some personal issue with it.. that leads to the divorce so emotions got the best of the price lol..
so once the divorce paper is final than its getting changed into my name.. im goign to write a contract and everything and get an expert to inspect it before i start handing out money...
