Idle noises? Normal?

900FighterRR -> Idle noises? Normal? (6/21/2008 11:04:10 AM)

How''s it going?   I have a 95'' 900RR with 13,000 on the clock.  I am running a factory pro APK and 4 degree advancer with a V&H SS2R full system exhaust.  I am a little paranoid with my bike sometimes and even the slightest noise pops out at me.  The noise I am hearing is at idle only and it only because apparent when the rough idle dips here and there.  I know sportbikes have lopey idles and if you can imagine watching the tach at idle the noise will just be audible when the needle dips down here and there.  I set my idle at 1500 and it never fluctuates more than 200 RPM.  THe bike runs smooth as hell and there are no noises above 2K.  What I think happened is I just sealed my exhaust slip on fitting with hi-temo silicone and I think that now the idle is quieter and smooter so I just didn''t notice the noise before.  Basically if anyone can tell me that "yes the bike have a rough idle and there are little ticks and sounds that come with that" I would be real happy.  I just re-synched my carbs a day ago and they were and are perfect. THe bike had 140 mains so maybe thats playing into this asw well.  I would send a video out but you can''t even here the noise on my videos, its that quiet.  And no I don''t think that my CCT is making any noises.  I am just paranoid I think so my apologies for those of you who actually have real problems.  Just let me know what you can.
