Hey guys great Forum here and like the title says im looking at a 06 CBR1000 RR  Yellow and blue with only only 20 miles on it . I''ve had many bikes but have been bikeless for over six years and cant take it anymore lol. Anyway i''ve had a 95 f3, 96 gsxr 600,98 gsxr750,99 zx9, 99 R1 And 2000 929. So I found this mint like new 06 1000 rr yellow/blue that looks wicked but not to familiar with this year, I''ve done some research and read a lot of good things about it but figure I''D GO wright to the source and ask you guys. I''ve already left a deposit down on it and due to pick it up next week. Thanks in advance for the input .

Great bike!! I have the exact one....now with a little over 10k on it and still runs great, a little hot during a hot day and heavy traffic but other wise the bike handles excellent great for wheelies or whatever you want to do with it....definately a good investment...i also love the blue and yellow....i get many compliments....there seem to be not so many of them....good luck

The bike is 2 years old and only has 20 miles on it!?!  Wow, thats pretty impressive.  I got the red and black.  I love mine.  Other than a leaky gas tank that was recalled, the bike is awesome.  I love the center exit exhaust.  I think it is one of the best looking liter bikes ever made.

Yeah, definitely a sweet-looking color scheme.  Hopefully you have a good buying/owning experience.

I bought an 04 earlier this year.  First bike I''ve ever owned.  I had a little buyer''s remorse at first, but after taking some road trips and group rides, I''m very glad that I got it.

Ya the bike still has the red stripes on the original tire treads that hasnt worn off and still has that new bike smell or as I like to call it puppy breath :) It looks like it just rolled of the show room.

Thanks and yes i''''ve had a few bikes in my day and I know what you mean about the emotional roller coaster ride sorta speak. But a few group rides, a few solo rides and trip to the coffee shop to hang out with your friends and its all good . I really missed the biker camaradarie .

Sounds like you got lucky. I have an 06 (red and black) with 16,000 miles and I haven''t had any problems at all. I love this bike!

I would also suggest going -1 in front for a little added fun . That is probably my best mod to date

Ya maybe down one tooth in the front might be in the near future but I''ll probably get use to it a little. I heard they went +1 in the back compared to the 05''s already . I bet it must be be really hard to hold the front end down dropping a tooth in the front, but fun  .

little added fun? like a game, *try* to keep the wheel down when cops are around

I''ve only had minor issues with mine but it was a faulty bike (like 1 out of 1,000) but congratz on the bike, your gonna love the blue/yellow

maybe if you do a 520 conversion with a sprocket change, maybe think about powdercoating the rims?

That yellow powder coated wheels looks sick it really makes the color pop. Ya I know what you mean about a challenge keeping the front end down because I had that problem with my 99R1 . Every time I drove it i''d say to myself no wheelies and needless to say it didnt work and one time I was near the beach and there was this BMW convertible loaded with hotties : ) and I decided to show off and road a nice wheelie for about 3 blocks and wright when I let the front end down facing me across the street was motorcycle cop and I saw him point to pull over and heard is horn and siren. So to make a long story short  he says NICE WHEELIE, now give me your licence and registration take off your helmet and have a seat on the curb and the flat bed tow truck should be here shortly . He ended up letting me go and gave me a lecture and ended up being really cool, I got lucky : ).  P.S THIS STORY WAS FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY AND I DO NOT CONDONE NOR RECCOMEND STREET RACING OR STUNT RIDING ON THE STREETS.Should be done by professional riders only in a controlled environment

Well it looks like I got approved , just got the call from dealer. Going to go down there tomorrow to finalize the deal and should have the full down payment by the weekend so if all goes as planned i''ll have her home this weekend.  I''m pretty jazzed but will see how everything looks like on paper tomorrow.
