I wrecked my bike last year and I will need to have it inspected before getting it registered again. It is a complete streetfighter right now. No fairings, gauges, lights as of now. I am wondering what exactly I will and will not need to pass inspection. This is what I know i need:
- headlight, taillight, brake light(hooked up to back brake right now)

Will i need...
horn?
front brakes?
turn signals? I shouldn''t because of hand signals...
gas cap? (right now i just have a car gas cap screwed in, works pretty good)
working ignition with key? (right now i have a paperclip in the ignition clip, hidden under the tank lol)
fenders?
chain guard?

Thanks

every state will be different.

But I think you will need, headlight, taillight, signals, speedometer, front and rear brakes, and a working horn. Gas cap will need to be fuctional and not leak. I''m not sure if what you have will pass.

Fairings wont matter.
Ignition wont matter.

Most of these items if they were there from the factory, they have to be there now. thats why I believe you will need the signals operational.

Another thing to consider is if you have a salvage title now, you may have to get the entire bike enspected by a frame shop to give the ok.

Again, every state is different.
