no high or low beams. all switches, relays, fuses, bulbs, etc, all fine. everything else is good but the lights. all couplers are testing ok. can''t figure it out. any ideas? thanks.

I would check to see if your getting power to bulbs with a light tester (I think that''s what they''re called) and take it from there....

Take apart the start/stop switch on the right grip. Yes, the right grip!

Check to see that all the 4 soldering joints on the red start switch are getting continuity. I lost my headlights same scenerio, and my problem was there. Pull on each lead going to the soldering joints there as well to make sure they are truely connected, as it may be an intermittent short.

Remember when you press the start button to turn the bike over, your lights go off to allow all available amperage to go to the starter... so your lights do infact get run to that cluster.

and if its not the starter switch check your grounds i have had the same problem and ended up tieing in to the plug with all the green wires and grounding that out to the fairing stay bracket actually i had to do that sunday

Do your front turn signals work? All 5 front bulbs share a ground via the solid green wire that goes to the connector. It''s green on both sides. As far as power, the high beams are powered from the headlight relay and are triggered by a solid blue wire coming from the switch on the left controls. The +12V into that switch is a white wire, which also happens to be the same wire that powers the low beams. It gets it''s +12V from the starter switch like Pixel mentioned. That switch gets +12V from a black wire with a red stripe. That comes from the Battery to the first 20A fuze, splits and goes to the starter switch and the headlight relay. Hopefully that will help with tracing wires. I''d check the ground, then follow the +12V from the fuze toward the bulb until you lose it. Then you''ll have it.

Edit - To easily check the starter switch, unplug the connector and jump a wire from the black with a red stripe to the white wire on the bike side of the plug. That will bypass the switch so the headlight should come on with the ignition.

I might have a solution. The grounding harness located behind the instument cluster get very hot and make a buzzing noise. Your wires might have came loose like mine did from smashing the front end off the ground. Just tape them up tight and then tape them to the fairing stay like mikey1297 did. That worked for me.

my lights did the same thing but mine burnt idk why..so i just wired my highs directly to my battery and it works fine

Maybe this should be a sticky! This was just a life saver for me. Although I had one more problem with the mounting bracket that the starter switch contacts are held in by, the white plastic was broken. I''ll do a detailed write-up on it tonight and post it soon.

i have the same problem tonight. and also i do not have any backlighting in my cluster but if i unplug the headlight bulbs only have of the lights in the cluster come on tack side and i am getting some kind of feedback threw the front signals (blinkers) they are lit but dim
