Wrapped up the wheels in a new set of Pirelli Diablos today. They are sick! I heard all of the debate about different size tires before, I had run the 160 until now but got a good deal on a 170...stayed stock in the front. The bike handles great with the 170 so anyone considering moving up one size...have no fear. My old rear tire was practically a slick, so the improved performance may just be from not being used to tread...lol.

Got new chain and sprocket too...thought about the 520 conversion but I did not want to change the sprocket size (too many long trips!) so I just went stock 530-108.

Did you use the same stock rim when you switched to the 170? I''m in line for some new tires myself.

I just bought a new set of tires.

Went with the 170 in the rear also!

I just dropped off my 94 600F2 for a checkup and the tires need to be replaced.

The diablos came up.

how much did you guys pay?

I was quoted $149 for the front and $189 for the rear (160).

I would love to go 170 if i can.

I may not have them change the tires if i''m geting shafted.

I ordered mine here: http://search.stores.ebay.com/JC-Motors-Motorcycle-Accessories_pirelli_W0QQfcdZ2QQfciZ0QQfclZ3QQfrtsZ30QQfsnZJCQ20MotorsQ20MotorcycleQ20AccessoriesQQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsaselZ92808931QQsofpZ0

$105 for the front, $119 for the rear...plus $15 for shipping. I have a tire changer, you may have to ask around to get someone to mount and balance it for you.

$149 and $189 is a little high...is that mounted and balanced?

Awesome pricing!

I believe the price would include mounting and balancing but I can find out today.

Also, are these the tires of choice are should I go more economical?

I think the price is good based on the link you provided.

Hmmm...they are the tires of MY choice. They are prolly not too economical though. They are a pretty soft compound. They sure do handle well though. I have also heard really good things about Michelin''s Power Pilots...I am sure you will hear good things about most brands (except maybe Shinko)

Lol whats wrong with shinko''s. They are some of the best tires imho. they wear kinda fast but handle just as good if not better than the diablos and pilots. FOR HALF THE PRICE!

I have never used them, but there have been alot of negative posts about them here. At some point you would have to believe you get what you what you pay for....but who knows.
