I just bought a 2003 CBR 600 f4i last week. This is my first bike and so far so good. I was wondering what kind of rear tire would be good because the one i''m running now is in really bad shape.

This ? is a backet of worms lol. As you are learning and most likely not pushing the bike very hard. Prolly the cheapest thing you can find. But I run Pilot Powers or Pilot Roads and will give the 2CTs in one of the fore mentioned next tire change.

They would be okay, but I also run Pilot Powers on my bike. But for regular, every-day street riding, the BT002 will be fine (probably lst longer too)

I personally stay away from battlax tires. Heard tooo many bad things about them. My personal philosopy(sp) on this matter is: My 2 tires are the only thing keeping my butt from sliding across the pavement and if I can''t trust them to stop that from happening then they have to go. Another words I will not ride until I can afford to put a good set of rubbers on my bike.

Well said. I like that point of view.
