I pull out the choke lever for a cold start but as soon as the engine starts the choke lever automatically lowers itself. The engine continues to run but at a much lower idle. I don''t know much about chokes but I would trace the choke cable back to the engine and make sure that everything is connected right and go from there. As long the choke serve the purpose I think its not a problem. And like already said just pull the choke knob up and lift the little rubber boot, underneath that is a tightening nut, just give it a snug and your all set. It will literally take you about 6.8 seconds start to finish. (in reply to Jeff1980) Post #: 8
