Hey wish I could help! my choke works but I''m not sure if its functioning properly. I pull out the choke lever for a cold start but as soon as the engine starts the choke lever automatically lowers itself. The engine continues to run but at a much lower idle. I don''t know much about chokes but I would trace the choke cable back to the engine and make sure that everything is connected right and go from there. Let me know if you find out what the problem is.

For the guys that have the self lowering choke.....There is a 17mm nut located directly below the your choke knob..... snug that up and your problem should be solved.

Most of us here I believe facing the self lowering choke too. Mine too. As long the choke serve the purpose I think its not a problem. Its kinda helpful too if the choke return itself so no issue on running the bike with the choke on in case you forget.

Hey Thanks Jeff I''ll look into that, but Dinez74 maybe right on the money cause I wouldn''t want to forget its still choked while riding.

LOL, Trust me, if you forget your choke is closed, your bike will remind you in the form of stalling, running like $h@t...etc

my damn bike had the same prob. i came on here and asked the same question. And like already said just pull the choke knob up and lift the little rubber boot, underneath that is a tightening nut, just give it a snug and your all set. It will literally take you about 6.8 seconds start to finish.
