WHen i ride my bike it stays between 180f - 190f. However when not moving the temp climbs quickly all the way to 240f. Of coase i turn it off at that point but i mean it shows no sign of stopping. it heats up in about 50 seconds to that 240 mark. Any ideas on waht the hell i have to do ?

Does you fan come on? It should come on somewhere in the 210-220F range. If it doesn''t, pull the wire on the front of the radiator (That''s the temperature switch) and touch it to ground. If the fan runs, the switch is busted, if they don''t, then the fan is busted or not getting power. I didn''t want to pay $90 for a new switch so I grounded the wire. My fan is on whenever the ignition is on. I keep a perfect 185F riding and barely see over 195F in heavy traffic jams.

Oh and also when the bike gets like 200 degrees and i turn it off i have an extremely hard time turning it on.

Shouldn''t really hard start at 200, 240 yes. Weak battery maybe. I just rode uptown at 95 deg. or so and the fan kicked on at 218 brought it back down to 214 at the light. Gettin down the road I run the same, 185 in this heat. Like ^^^^said, I wouldn''t pay 90bucks for a switch, ground it and see if it comes on. It won''t hurt to run it all the time. Might wear on the battery and charging system some.

Ok i have it running at a normal temp ( the fan was broken ) However once i ridden it and its warm (200degrees). If i turn it off it wont start until the temp is down. It could be the temp or the a electric problem. I just bought a new battery but it wont hold a charge. So i dont know which it is. Any ideas

If your battery doesn''t hold a charge that is most likely your problem. These bikes hate bad batteries. When I was building mine I hooked it to a fully charged lawnmower battery with cables that was 330CCA, but it would turn and not start. A quick jump from a car battery made it fire right up. Unfortuneately we have to use a YTZ style battery that at cheapest is $65, usually more than less. Those things hate temperature changes and hate not being on a battery tender in storage. If it''s 70F one day and then 85F the next, you better start your bike up and ride it a few miles so the battery doesn''t freak out.
