That is horrible.  I too have lost a friend riding her gsxr600, but a car pulled out in front of her.  Its not really clear what happened to him by reading the posts of eyewitness accounts.  In her case it most likely would not have mattered how much gear she was wearing.  What about him?  was he geared up and how did it happen?

maybe im a super insensitive prick which is entirely possible but i don''t understand what all the comments were about on that youtube vid. can some 1 explain 2 me? i mean more than half of the vid all you see is a cop bike and fire engine..so are these people super sensitive or am i a prick>?

I watched the video...and read the eyewitness reports and the youtube comments....what happened is NOT clear because multiple people gave different stories.  One said the truck hit him...the other said the truck was stationary...THATS what i mean about it not being clear.  Not that it matters...sadly the guy is gone anyway...but i was curious.
