So heres a few quesitons guys

i''d like to be able to wheelie, and i can barely do it now, but it just seems like there isn''t enough power to keep it up.....so i''m only able to get the front wheel off for half a second.

1) Now i''m really interested in changing the sprockets, cause everything i''ve read has been nothing but good, when it comes to this mod.

2) As for the 520 chain. do you change that along with the sprockets? or is that a completely diffrent mod itself?

3) -1 up front +2 in back, Is that the most ideal sprocket combo? or is there a better one? more in the front? less back? yea? no?

4) Is their any websites, that sell the sprockets and what not, as a combo package? (to save money)....that are good websites?

5) Which specific brand would you recommend, and how much would you say it should run me?

Thanks

Without my sprockets... i could get up in 1st and pop 2nd.  I got vortex sprockets ... not sure on teeth... but its the wheelie kit.  Lifts up easy and smooth.

1. It is good if you want to do alot of wheelies...if you ride long on highways...maybe not so good (but not terrible)

2. The sprockets and chain should be changed at the same time always for maximum chain life...if you get a 520 chain you need 520 sprockets.

3. -1, +2 is the stunt set sold by vortex as a 520 conversion so it is very common.

4. EBay has a ton...look up "520 conversion", or "wheelie sprocket"

5. Vortex

cool. i''ll check ebay

Just to make sure,  a sprocket is just a sprocket right? they can fit any bike? cause i see diffrent labels for yamaha''s and whatnot. should i just not worry about that?

F2''s are 16-43 stock sprockets with a 530-108 chain. The wheelie kit should be 15-45 with a 520 chain.

Here is a kit that uses a 130 chain: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CBR-600-CBR600-Hurricane-F1-F2-F3-Wheelie-Sprocket-Kit_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35600QQihZ013QQitemZ230265854306QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

Here is a 520 conversion where you can choose the sprocket size: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/520-Conversion-Chain-Sprocket-Kit-F4i-600RR-F2-F3-F4_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35600QQihZ017QQitemZ270250201970QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

That would be a really bad idea and basically undriveable on the highway, although it would have great acceleration.  I have +2 in the rear alone and it does 5500 rpms at 55 MPH in 6th gear, which is way too high for anything but pure sport riding.

The stock front is 13.

I''d go +1 in the front and +3 in the back, which would keep the ratio similar to stock but would give you a bit more accleration (due to mechanical leverage).

Old 600s just don''t wheelie all that well...I suggest you deal with it.  Although losing a bit of weight will make it work a lot better.

Mine is stock and does about 65-67mph at 5500 rpm, it''ll do 55mph in fifth gear at 5500...maybe even fourth...

I agree with SpecR that stunt sprockets will ruin highway riding...BUT if you are considering putting them on I am hoping you are only using the bike for stunting.

I have the stunt sprockets and I cruise highway all the time.  I thinks its around 7k at 80mph. Tops out at 135-140 redlined.  0-60 I was faster then a 07 zx-6r.

That is a totally unacceptable level of NVH for highway cruising...  45 on the rear is where I totally draw the line for street riding.

I appreciate the answer tool.  Well the "NVH'' is fine by ME.  My bike likes it.

No it doesn''t.  Vibrations are what cause things to fly off your bike when you forget to use locktite and a torque wrench.
