ANYWAY, HE SAID HE WOULD DO IT FOR $1500. ALSO A DRY SHOT SYSTEM FOR $400. AND THE OTHER DEAL IS A BRAND NEW INBOARD AIR SHIFTER INSTALLED FOR $500. HE SAID THE KIT IS 500 BY ITSELF. R THESE GOOD DEALS? THANX 4 THE HELP.

Do you race your bike professionally? If not, does it really matter?

Does that $1500 include the cams, and new springs etc for the heads or just the labor and machine work?

Decking and port/polish are not the same thing.  Decking is to cut the head down, port/polish are enlargening the bore diameter of the intake and exhaust ports, then polishing for for smooth flow in either direction.

I''d agree with tk on this.  Why wouldn''t you consider some rods or at the least new rings.

Are you making this a drag strip only bike? Or are you trying to be Smoke or Kid?

With extensive head work you really need to redo the bottom end too. And running the juice you really really need to bullet proof the whole setup or you will end up with a boat anchor.

he said that the 1500 included everything that needed to be done for the job. i dont know very much about it thats y i''m tryin to do some research. he said the cams would''nt be the best as far far as power because its not just a drag strip bike and he doesnt want to put too much wear on the valves or something. i will be drag racing this season. b4 i get it done i will get him to write down everything he is going to do. gotta go im at work.
