I recently bought a 2004 cbr 1000rr was wondering what average and high motor temperatures are,,,, what is the point i may have to worry about damaging my motor or overheating?????????? PLEASE SOMEONE RESPOND!!!

These bikes run hot. Your fan wont kick on until 225 or so. Around 200-210 is common. Sitting in traffic will raise up to 225 in hurry. As long as your fan is working, you should be ok. I think if it gets too hot, the temp will start to flash. Im not sure where that is, but I''ve heard its around 240.

thanx man,,,i''ve had alot of others tonight say its common,,,my light has came on the last two times i cranked it but it doesn''t do it until i cut the bike off and it still doesn''t get past 225-230 sitting still,,,on road under 200..
