What have u found to be the best all around tire for a 2007 cbr600rr and i would like the widest.. any suggestions??

Depends on what you consider ''all around''...I have Pirelli Rossos on my bike (600RR). They feel great and I''m getting real good life. Currently 4000 miles and one trackday and I still have plenty of tread left. I only got 4000 miles out of my last set of Q''s.
I commute daily, ride 200-300 miles on weekends, and throw in the occasional trackday.

Stock size.
Let me quote Lee Parks'' "Total Control"...
"As you put larger tires on a motorcycle, the traction will increase. However, the ease of steering will decrease. The correct tire sizes provide the best compromise between traction and handling. Keep in mind that the best handling tire size isn''t always the stock size. Sometimes manufacturers mount rear tires that are too wide for stylistic reasons - fat reat tires look cool. For example, when Triumph revamped its Daytona 955 in 2002, it switched from a 190mm rear tire to a narrower 180mm rear tire because the narrower tire provided more agile handling. Unfortunately, customers wanted the look of the fatter rear tire, and for 2003 Truimph scarificed handling and switched back to a 190mm rear tire. And Triumph isn''t the only culprit."

^^ very good explaination.

i go michelin pilot powers 2ct. they are made for commuter riders who like to go twisty now and again. they are soft on the egdes and medium hard on the middle so that you get more life on the highway and sticky goodness on the curves.

I tried the 2CT...good tire, felt good on the bike. But the guys at CycleGear told me that the harder middle is mis-leading. According to them, it''s not that the middle is harder than a normal tire, it''s that the sides are softer. So you don''t really get more ''commuting'' miles. Anybody know for sure?
I got a nail in it so I didn''t get to see exactly how many miles I would get on it. Skitz, how many miles are you getting out of the 2CTs?
Oh and I agree 100% with the size explanation!
