just installed new pads on my whip, everything went smooth except when my rotors get hot the left front starts making this noise everytime i push my bike backwards...what can i do to make this noise go away cause it sounds like a real loud vibration. any idea will be more than welcome. thanks guys

Your pads may be sitting in there just a tad loosly, not really a huge deal though. What happens (i assume you are using the old rotors) is there is unever wear in your old rotors, little grooves etc. Its going to take a 100 miles or so for the pads to settle into them. Now if the pads are a bit loose they are wering into the rotors during braking and also being forced against one side of the caliper from the force of the rotor turning. Now you roll it backwards and you are applying opposite force and moving the pads to the other end, and during that they may shift a tad and get out of the grooves so to speak, then make noise. If they feel good riding, and does not seem overly loose or a safety issue, just give them a bit more break in time and see if it improves.

It was a slightly confusing explination, but i cant think of any way to put it to clear it up, so Im just going to say +1, makes sense to me, but i know what your talking about too.

Sorry, i work on this stuff for a living, i know what it does, why it does it, the noises it will make if it does it wrong. For the life of me though i suck at explaining it

thanx a lot .........you wer right.......it went a way when i hit the canyons early today....I was a little worried because trackday is coming up soon..actually thinking of swapping rotors too in the near future...
