First off wassup to to everybody . I just joined the forum here but got a little question. I just bought a 07 cbr1krr with 1178mi all stock a week ago. Well when i roll into the throttle as it sweeps past 9k rpms it bogs down. makes no sense to me and runs strong everywhere else. any insight would be greatly appreciated. The honda tech said it hadnt been broke in right and to just run it hard and should clear itself up.

lol what kind of hokey ass shop do you go to I would have them hook up the hdd to it and have them take a snap shot at 9k to see whats going on with it.

Sounds like the dealerships around here. LOL. Just run it hard.... what a chuckehead.

My guess would be the exhaust servo isnt working as it should. The exhaust servo is a flapper inside of your exhaust that opens as the rpms increase. It is supposed to add lowend torque by remaining closed at low rpms, and open up for horsepower as the rpms increase. If it doesnt open at the proper rpm, it will bog.

It may be a possibility that the person before you may have had an aftermarket exhaust and didnt hook it back up correctly. Make sure there are cables going to it and that they are attatched. You can remove the cover plate to inspect it.

But, if its under warranty, have the dealership do it.....  a different dealership than the one mentioned.....
