Out of curiousity.

what mods could be done, to catch a stock or modded GSXR 750?
is it just completely out of the question.

Why do I ask?

My LIL brother has a new 07 GSXR 750.. he just traded in his modded 07 GSXR 600..

and as a first bike.. I really dont mind getting a 600.. im not looking for speed or anything fast.. just a bike.. but I want to be able to catch his lil ass lol.. so I dont have to hear his mouth.

or should I just be a man and get a 1000cc as a starter bike [insane..]

thanks for any words you have for me.

look @ it this way. one of u r either gonna b slower than the other. so if u get a 1k or if u get a 600,it really doesnt matter. TRY ad become a BETTER RIDER/DRIVER n beat him wit skill as well as a lower cc bike; then ull really b able 2 talk sh!t...but dont get trhottle happy in either case...b smart, GEAR ^, n ride SAFE; while still having fun.

PEACE....

Learn how to ride properly and you can destroy liter bikes with a 600 ON THE TRACK.

try twisting the throttle the rest of the way  :) lol

to be faster than your brother, just poke holes in his tires and ask him to race. lol!!!

This thread is semi-retarded...Learn how to ride a bike before you worry about being faster than the guy next to you. If you just want a bike so you can go as fast as possible, you should just get a gixxer too. If you want to "be a man," it requires living.

shortbus, thanks for giving him a true welcome.

kooltrix, altho i do get your lighthearted tone, we on this forum (majority) dont like what is known in the biking world as "squids". this is a rider who does one of the folowing things:
1. doesnt ride with gear. this means helmet, gloves, jacket, jeans(very least) and prefferably some sick sidi boots. EVERYTIME.
2. relys too much on the pure power potential of their bike and not on skill. a 250 will tear up a 1000 in the twisties if the rider knows what he is doing.  cc''s DOES NOT = better bike
3. stunts in traffic, goes way too fast, begs for tickets, endangers others while riding.
4. people who ride gixxers (well at least 90% )

you need to learn how to be a good driver first, learn lots about your bike, its power and ability, and then learn to beat the crap outta your little bro. (on the track that is)
heres some inspiration for you: i have always riden 6''s, and i burn liter bikes all the time until about 3rd gear. cc''s mean nothing.

To be a man in the biker world is to learn to be a good rider (this doesnt mean the fastest) And even a 600 doesnt make for a good ''first'' bike.

Now to answer you question , speed for speed the only thing that can be done to a 600 to hang with a 750 is to add displacement (bigger pistons etc). Learn to ride (really ride) n get your lil in the twisties, he will loose any advantage bike wise there

Stay off the 1k period!! .. As everyone says, sneak in a few track day sessions and learn to ride the ''07 600rr well then he will be using those extra CCs to catch up to you on the straights.

As far as modding, you''d have to add more displacement like said above.

He has a gsxr...there is nothing worst in this world to ride. (I HATE gsxr riders)

In your case you can beat the rider, but not the bike.

Hey...dont hate on what you cant catch....LOL  jk...Guys i own BOTH a 600rr and a gsxr 600.  I have been riding ten years and MOST of the time it takes a severly modded 6 or a 750 to catch up with me on the straights...cuz most of the time in the twistes they are specs in the mirrors if there at all...  Learn to ride safely,....then learn how to go fast.

Not true, there are worse things in the world, like closed minded riders. I know some extremely talented racers, and most are on gixxers that would own you for the rest of your riding life.
