Hey all, new to the site as well as new to biking(on the street anyways). So i''ve got a question with regard to engine cooling. I''ve got an 05 CBR600RR and i''m wondering what the average temp is you guys run into during your drives. I''m up here in Alberta, so my temp gauge is in celcius, it runs between 80-90 degree''s on hot days, but when im sitting at lights it goes up to 110 degrees, course the fan kicks in, but it only does so much. Im wondering if these are normal operating temps or not, and if anyone uses a coolant additive, ie: water wetter or engine ice. Any feedback would be great!

If you''''re temp gauge starts to blink, then you will need to worry. When it blinks, that means its running above its normal temp. If its not, well ya should be fine It also should say in the owners manual where it should be at.
