I have a 2002 F4i, and the fastest that I have went was a 142mph and I was at 9,000 rpms. I redline at 14K, what is the maximum speed can this bike go? I have done nothing to the bike for performance, its all stock. How fast have you taken it?

i think you were pretty close to the top speed. I think it's around 142 for the top speed.

I have an 03 F4i. At the time, it was stock. I had her up to 167 MPH. For the record, this is very stupid... but a helluva rush! Don't try this at home. I only do that when there is no traffic on the freeway! This removes that other-person human error factor. Then you just have to worry about your human error, and mechanical failure, and a deer jumping out in the road. I'd love to have my front tire blow out at 167MPH, just to see what it is like! HA!

In a perfect world, the fastest an F4i can go with all stock gearing and all is 172 mph. However probably the only place you'll see that is on a dyno or a downhill. Rider weight and wind resistance kinda take over by then and she just runs out of breath.

Mine tops out at 162, but after about 145 or so it takes a lil while for it to get all the way up there, LOL

Yeah I shut it down at an indicated 140, it seems like it would take another 1/2 mile to get to 150 and the fear of cops made me stop. There is no difference in the sense of speed once you get up that high anyway. The bike doesnt have the power to hit redline in 6th gear, Liter bikes cant even do that. I think it will do true mid-150s with a tiny rider and no wind (upper 160's indicated on the speedo).

I had mine doing 123 then backed off. It got there really quick, but I'm not sure how fast I could get it going. The guy that I ride with has an 01 F4i and he hit 145 with it and he said it was enough, he couldn't get in a full tuck because he has a red chrome windscreen and you can't see through it.

check out the new sportrider, in the back is an equation to figure out the topspeed w/ rpm redline, tire circumfrence, primary reduction, 6th gear ratio.
dont trust your speedo over 100, most bikes are generally 10% optimistic in the speedo. grab a gps unit that will calculate current and max speed. garmin makes em for a couple of bills.

My speedo displayed 165 mph. I was with a 04 GSXR 600, 05 Kawi 636, late 90's GSXR 750, and 05 R1. We were all close to each other going about 80 when the R1 decided to romp on it. All of us stayed somewhat close until 140 ish, then the R1 started to pull ahead fairly quickly. I'm sure that I was not doing 165 though due to speedos being off from the factory. Several of the other riders said their guages displayed 170-190 mph.

I had mine up at 148 once. Fast enough that it got a little squirrely on me. Was with my buddy who was on his '03 R1 at the time and said his speedo read 140ish. Probably could have pushed it a little further, but backed it off. The speeds do all look the same over 110 anyway in my opinion. I do about 200mph pretty often while I am at work for fun, but that's not on a bike!!!

156 indicated. Havent had it up that high in awhile. I agree with everyone else, 115-150 no difference in the way it looks, but i gotta say, the rush that the wind shaking you up gives you at 150 compared to 115, its pretty damn fun
