hey all, I''''m very close to get an 02 600 f4i, white an red with 4500 miles, i own a 1986 mustang with a roots blower so i''''m going to be trading and i''''ll get some money on top, i think is a good deal, considering that i don''''t drive my car often because of gas prices and ususally just sits in my driveway...
looking forward to take a look at the bike today, has exhaust, fender eliminator, hid, so i''''ll probably leave it alone ''''till next season.
i had bikes before, but not sport, i had a cruiser, dirt bikes, quads, etc... i figure i try something new.
anyone here from long island, NY ?

Be careful with that bike, i''ve seen it on Craigslist and it''s been dropped. If you do trade for it, I''d have Fun Wheels in Medford take a look at it. Right on 112.

I Just picked up my first bike for $2800. Its an 02 CBR F4i with 4000 miles. It was dropped at low speed. And needs a couple things. Wind screen, turn signals. And mirrors. Anybody have a place to buy these things online. IM new to the sport bike scene. Also anything i should do to it right away? http://img161.imageshack.us/my.php?image=cbr2wg4.jpg I still cant ride it for a couple weeks anyway cause my motorcycle classes dont start for another 2 weeks. < Message edited by mega1268 5/11/2008 8:29:43 PM >

I have seen that exact bike with those exact pictures and the picture of the cracked fairing being held together with a zip tie on craigslist all spring and summer and on ebay 3 months ago. I bought my 02 f4i for $4000 with 8k miles on it, no damage and no problems a few months ago. I''d say come up with the cash and look around. You don''t want to rush and buy a bike that''s going to cost you more to fix it then you spent to buy it. That''s just my advice.
