Does anyone know what size of a fork seal driver that I need to use on a 1991 CBR1000F?  I think it is 41 MM but wanted to check before I purchased one.

Hi,
The fork tubes are 41mm, but I didnt buy a seal driver. I went to B&Q (Hardware store) and bought a 41 ish mm tube flange type thing, that GOD only knows what it was really meant for! This slips down over the tube and has an overhang that I can smack with a rubber mallet/press on with fingers. This very easily safely seats the seal. If I can locate the damned thing I can prob take a pic of it if you want. I think it cost me about £1.50...

Hope that helps...

Ara

I appreciate the quick response.  I will look for a piece in the Hardware store but metric sizes in the states are harder to find.   I may buy a Seal Driver since it is still cheaper for me to purchase one of those than pay the local mechanic to do it. But now I have confirmation of the size.  thanks

What I did was get a 2 ft piece of PVC pipe, 2 inch diameter at Home Depot. Then I cut slots in one end until I could shrink it down to 41mm and hold it in place with zip ties.
