I have a 2004 CBR 600.
Right when I was leaving for vacation, I saw the the rear tire had worn through to the threads.

I was planning on ordering the Piliot Power for the rear, then after reading, I have seen where I need to keep the same brand on the front as the rear.

Well, I didnt write down the name of the factory tires. I know they are Dunlops.

Does anyone know the rest of the tire info. I need to order a rear.

Thanks.

Why don''t you just get a set???  I got a pair of Pilot Powers for $240 shipped.  If not, you CAN put a different tire on the back...most just don''t recommend it because it will throw off your traction and will probably affect your turning ability...in other words, your cornering ability is only as effective as your weakest link...but it''s not going to automatically make you crash.  The same applies to cars...they always recommend a set instead of different brands on the front and back for maximum traction, and this concept is even more important on bikes, but I would honestly recommend that if you can''t afford a set, buy the rear pilot power for now and get the front later.

if its stock tire its gonna be dunlop qualifier, 120 the front, 180 in the rear.

if its dunlop tho, i would just say buy a new set of pilot powers . way better tires (personal opinion, but very very determined its true)

i hate dunlop.. i have my stock duns on my bike still......... i power slide around corners cuz these things just dont grip. if i was an unexperienced rider i would eat shit all the time.

yeah dunlops are garbage imo, i have pilot power 2cts... and they''re AMAZING. i think the best reason why you should get a set is because the tires are actually shapped differently, the pilot power set is made for the crown of both tires to work together, if you got a pp rear and a stock front, the stock fron would be flatter, and the rear would be sharper and it would mess up your initial turn in feel. just get a new set and you''ll be extremely happy at the difference, trust me.

I have an 04 CBR 600RR...I never really had any complaints about the Qualifiers.  Recently switched to Pirelli Diablo Rossos and I really like them!!!  I won''t be going back to Dunlops.
I have 4000 miles on the Pirellis (including 1 trackday) and still have plenty of tread.
