This is a very rare, Japanese Domestic Market, CBR400 (NC29). The CBR 400 was never officially imported into the U.S. for sale. This particular bike was brought back from Japan by a service member who was able to get the motorcycle titled and registered in California. The previous owner also has a letter from a Honda Dealership stating that the bike meets or exceeds California Emission Standards.

This CBR400RR is amazingly clean. There are no signs that it has spent anytime horizontally. The radiator has no dents. The engine covers have been replaced for purely comestic reasons. (When a bike is this clean, I did not want engine covers that were discolored because of time.) The bike has never been raced or taken to the track.

Now the bike has about 34,000 kilometers on the odometer. I do use the bike on a regular basis so the mileage may be increased by delivery/sale date.

This bike is tons of fun. It has a de-restricted CDI, Penske aftermarket shock, and front forks sprung for a 190 lbs rider.

Reason for selling: I need to thin out the herd and pay for the racing addiction.

I am willing to ship the bike within the United States.

I am not interested in trades.

While that is a nice bike, I think the only kind of people you will find to buy it at that price will be collectors.

People will look at it like this: that or a few year old 600rr?

Good luck with it though, I wish we had more choices like that in the US. Especially for new riders.

The real nice thing about a grey market bike is that they do not lose their value very quickly.

Certainly this bike could be a collector''s piece but a savvy rider who wants something a bit different might very well interested in the bike too.
