Hey All,

I just plunked the cash down for a red ''08 1000RR. I had previously bought a new ''00 929RR and have additionally ridden sportbikes in the form of a ''91 ZX11, a ''94 CBR600, an ''03 GSXR1000, an ''03 FZ1, a ''98 VFR800, and a ''97 Duc 916. I think there may be a few others in there somewhere, but they escape me now. Anyway, I''ve been a rider for about 30 years, but took three years off after pretty extensive neck surgery. The new RR is my first bike since selling my last in ''05. In the interest of fair disclosure, I guess I should also say that I spent the better part of 20 years on various KZ1000P''s in CA also. I''m happily retired from that gig though.

Welcome! The newer 1Krr''s have some major power so be careful out there. I''m sure you will though since you have a long riding history, but you can never fully trust those bikes sometimes. Ride safe!
