OMG!! I can no longer write ...

I have just tried to write a penned letter and have found that I barely can anymore !! :-(

I have almost lost the ability to write with a pen .. it seems that all we ever do now is use a keyboard or a text pad that our writing ability has gone down the pan .. my writing style is terrible and full of mistakes and just looks plain untidy ... I used to be such a neat writer with a nice penstroke but now it looks like a child wrote it ...

About the only time we write now is when we have to sign our signature to buy goods but even that is going here with the advent of pin codes instead ..

Anyone else feel their writing has suffered as a result of lack of use??

I have ripped up letter 3 now and trying once again!!

Why not type it up and then transcribe. It will help reduce mistakes.

I never had good penmanship. I usually print and that that is still atrocious.

Writing takes longer than typing, yet more shortcuts are taken now typing then with writing.

But then again, we do type more than we ever did write, so of course due to it''''s easy and the fact that most of our communication is now done via the internet.

Yeah...my penmanship has always sucked so it makes no diffrence to me. I use a clipboard in the shop so I still write a bit, but even I have a hard time depicting what I write now and then.

Hey, isn''t screw ups on paper one of things that make your writing endearing? That way people can really see how much you f up?

They can already see that from the number of posts I edit because of my long nails tapping the key above instead of the one I want EEERR!!!  ..lol

I too know what you mean.  I was writing a letter to my friend that''s locked up, and after about two letters I said screw this, I gotta type them from now on.  I can only write like half a page before my hand starts cramping insanely.

That is it exactly .. I got some cramps and because I had to keep redoing it all they got worse until I got pins and needles ..really it seems ridiculous now that such a simple thing like a letter can be such hard work ..lol

I have actually been out to the village and bought a nice quality pen and I am finding it helps so I will win this letter battle yet!! :-)

ya I hate writing...I use to be good at writing in cursive, and now I cant even remember how to do it...I have been typing for so many years the last time I actually had to write was back in high school(write as in a letter, or something more then a few words)...and the last time I wrote in cursive was back in 5-6th grade....I went to college online also and everything was typed

any time I need to write something, I hop on the computer and type, spell check is great[:D]
