Gonna take a look this weekend at the condition of it.  bought bike last winter w 10000km''s,  not sure if its original or not? how long do they generally last, normal driving?  Is a K&N a must or not.
thx

If it runs good, just throw in whatever is already in there.  They are expensive, so make sure you need a new one.

I hear there is no real performance gain from using a K&N . The advantage of it would be  that you never have to buy another filter

na dont get K&N. you can go OEM for $40 bucks or go BMC...which is $20 more and looks/design appears closer to stock filter than K& N.  This way it will trap the most debri that goes into the engine as well as allowing the most air to go in at the same time.
