whats up everybody.Im looking at a 2000 600f4 for $2600 the guy says he fell on it and parked it for 6 years since then he said he put new plugs, changed the fuel and it fired right up but he says the carbs were really gummed up so he cleaned them but he said they really need an acid dip. My question is first of all is it worth $2600 and if an acid bath is worth the trouble? or if i should do an old fashioned hard cleaning on them? input is very important.

You are in the wrong forum, because we are mostly FI here... but having pretty good experience with carbs, I can tell you that all you have to do is take the carbs off the bike and clean the hell out of them with carb cleaner. That said for that price I wouldn''t buy it.
