What tools would you include in an on-bike toolkit?

I just received my CBR600RR and, like most, did not receive any tool kit.  No, not even the helmet strap and Allen wrench.  I would guess that Honda''s tools are still the junk they used to be, so building a small, high-quality kit sounds like a better idea than arguing with the dealer.

I assume that I will want to carry AT LEAST an Allen wrench sized to fit the front seat mounting screws (so I can get to the battery and fuse box).  First, what size is that wrench?  Second, what other tools would you include in an on-bike toolkit?  Not too heavy and small enough to fit under the rear seat but inclusive enough to deal with common mechanical problems.

it can do everything.

on the real, two different size allen wrenches, 6,8,10mm wrench, philip head screw driver they should have atleast given you the tool for the rear spring. you should ask the dealership where your tool kit is.

Just got an ''08 CBR and didn''t find my toolkit so I asked the dealership.  Yeah they said that Honda doesn''t send them toolkits any longer.  That said, we can you get the rear spring tool?

all you need is a 5mm allen for almost any roadride repair on the bike...

5mm allen will get you:

remove the seat, remove the rear cowl, remove all of the front plastics. if you need to dive any deeper on the side of the road, id suggest calling a buddy and taking it back to the house..

I like the idea of a multi-tool (I use one on my bicycles), but I find that I have never used most of those tools and the tools I use are compromised because they have to fit the multi-tool. 

The 5mm allen wrench does seem pretty useful all over the bike.  (That''s also practically the universal size for bicycles, and I''ve worn out all the 5mm allen wrenches from my various sets.)  I ordered a couple of Snap-on T/L 5mm allen wrenches one for the motorcycle and one for the bicycles. 

I decided to order up a small adjustable wrench as well.  (You never know.)

I''ve got to locate a good multi-bit screwdriver.  And I''m considering a quality set of pliers.  (Again, you never know.)

Finally, I would really like to find a decent cloth/vinyl pouch to store it all in to keep it from rattling around and scratching up the inside of the seat compartment. 

Does anyone know a good source for a tool pouch?

My bike came with 1 allen wrench and the useless helmet lock.  I was kindof disappointed but I guess when Honda spends so much time and money eliminating ounces from several different componets of the bike to save weight, it would be kindof dumb to throw in a heavy tool kit.  By the way, my wifes 08 ninja 250r came with a pretty decent tool kit so when I work on my bike, I usually just get it out.

if you do long rides it doesnt hurt to have the tools to adjust the chain. [;)]

as crazy as it sounds, if you have a local skate shop around then go in there and look for their multi-screwdriver tool, or most motorcycle shops will have them too, they ratchet and are pretty small. they look like this:
