My friend is ok but a cager ran a red light and my buddy never saw him coming. It was a 4 lane road he was turning on to and the cager was in the last lane so no way to see the car. He basically got clipped on the side and threw him several feet in the air and his bike was thrown about 15-20 feet away. He is being sent home from the ER with a 2 broken bones in his ankle (surgery will be later), busted knuckle, shoulder is messed up but nothing on the xrays, and his tooth went through his upper lip. Overall he is very good for how the bike looks. He had all his typical gear on, half helmet, gloves, leather jacket, and leather boots. He just converted from sport to a Harley and the bike wasnt even 3 weeks old.

Cager got arrested for suspicion of DWI (possibly drugged up at the time) and car was impounded. Just be careful.

I''m sorry to hear it. Full-face helmets cannot be beat. Tell your friend to get a good attorney.

Im bumping this because I think it deserves to get read. I see so many stupid fing threads that people create and it pisses me off to see that when someone gets hurt no one says one word, but when someone posts up a picture of a grill or someone posts up a minimized avatar and it gets more hits that is just BS. I am ready to leave this forum because of all the BS people post up here cluttering up real issues and things going on of importance.

Yeah, sucks that it happened, but he''s alive, and there''s a good chance your friend will be laughing hysterically all the way to the bank, man. He''s gonna clean up with a good lawyer.

Bikes are replaceable, friends aren''''t. Glad to hear your friend didn''''t fair worse. Hope the cager gets the book thrown at him and your friend has a speedy recovery. Good gear can''''t be beat.

hey flash im in the same situation at tk954rr. sorry to hear about this. Ride to live you guys.

On a side note, maybe we need a forum for wrecks and remembrances rather than just a fallen riders list in the off topic forum. our brothers derserve more than that. sure the posts wont be replied to as much but they will still have their own time at the top and im sure they''ll still be read. i will read them even if i dont reply to them. What do you guys think?
