Put one on my 1000rr. i was attracted to the large oval opening and the sound. Downside is that it comes in stainless only with your choice of sleeves. some imperfections on the stainless parts on close inspection but unnoticable from afar. carbon sleeve is not as smooth as akras, but you can tell it's real carbon fiber. installation was a real pain for me, not because the parts dont fit but bc i kept using the wrong screws (cant really blame that on them then).
the ride: Jimmeny Cricket! the sound is awesome after i removed the baffle. I LOVE IT! (thought i was bad ass until a chopper pulled up next to me) anyways, the cons: bc it is stainless it got extremely hot. not hot enough to melt anything but thw whole back end felt like a heater. makes it feel like you are riding a rocket (which really isnt a con for some people). havent dynoed it so dont know if it actually added hp. the site claimes 4-6 though, which i doubt. i felt the umph but not 4-6. (i mean i only gained 3 hp on my gsxr 600 with full system and power commander).
WOULD I recommend it? HELL YEAH! the sound...oh, the sound! the growl, it's an animal! imagine what it'll do to your bike if it turned the timid honda into an animal! heat? i just wrapped the pipe in insulating tape, and its fine. NEXT the dyno!
