Hello, I am a former Yamaha man and bought a 2008 CBR 1000 today.  I find it pretty hard to locate parts for it.  Particularly frame sliders, integrated tailight, tag relocator, etc...

Any suggestions?

Chris

Hey Chris congrats ! Yep have the same machine...you''ll be quite satisfied with the overall package.

OK ur right some companies either dont have parts or on the waiting list.

Places I was able to buy parts that you can look into are:

Motosport.com

Redlinehonda.com

Ebay and look into the Vortex frame siders as those are the ones that I have and are superb. Not too many companies have these with the exception of R & G and there''re too expensive. I bought the Vortex pair with the actual bases for $63 bucks with is a steal.

1tail.com

and btw... NO companies at all has the intergrated tail lights.

They wont be released until late summer 2008.

Good luck CBR bro !

solomotoparts.com is another good site to order from...a bit slow on shipping but good prices and right now they have free shipping.  I just got my Pazzos from there.

Thanks bro!   I am still having issues finding alot of parts.  I have found some KR tuned frame sliders from parts unlimited.  I tell you, this is the negative aspect of getting a newly remodeled bike!!  lol

OK,  I bought the hotbodies undertail kit with the blinkers built in for about 180 on ebay.  I also bought the curved tag relocator (swingarm) on ebay for abot 70.

I bought the KR tuned no cut frame sliders from a parts unlimited dealer around here.

I got the bike discounted because there was a small crack in the upper cowl next to a windscreen mounting bolt.  I need to buy a pre painted upper cowl to replace the cracked one.  I have found them online in graphite black but none that are already painted.  Anyone have the inside track?

mrcycles.com is a good place to get all OEM stuff. They will work with you on price.
