I haven''t posted much but I am wondering what you all think would look the best with my F3.  It''s my first motorcycle, grew up on quads back in Utah though.  Bought it in April and have put 2K miles on it so far.  The fairings were busted up/held together with ducktape when I bought it.  Heard 90% of first year riders laid they bikes down and that''s why I bought one with cosmetic damage.  Anyways should I get a body kit or wait until next season incase I lay it down this first season.  I saw a member that had removed the lower fairing and hid the wires and what not that were exposed on the frame.  Any suggestions would be greatful.  BTW took MSF basic rider course and would suggest it to anybody that hasn''t.

I hate these bikes with their fairings removed or parts missing ..they were meant to be fully clothed and look their best as the factory intended ..so I say get those fairings replaced properly and it will look great!! :-)

Hi I have had mine for about 5 months. I am enjoying it. I was parking it one day in a grocery lot and while slowly backing up the back wheel got in some oil and started to slide. Once it leaned so far it was too heavy to keep up so it slowly went down. How embarassing!! Ended up with only minor scratches on the bike and dents to my ego!!! So I consider that my down and I am in the 90% club. Well the street fighter look is getting popular and you wont spend a lot on farings but I think the fairings give it a sleeker look. I upgraded my tail light and put some carbon fiber pieces on it and just cleaned it up. No factory decal it is just canary yellow with black and carbon fiber accents. The only thing I can tell you is that when you start to add things that you see on other bikes it is hard to find them for the F3 series. Seems like they make everything for the F4, 600RR and the like. Start with ebay or the bike swapmeets to save a little money.....

sell the fairings you have along with your gauges. then buy a slip-on, an acerbis DHH front end and veypor gauges. then you''ll have a bike that no one else has.

Just bought my first bike 96.  I''ve never owned or rode a crotch rocket so this is a new experience.  Any suggestions?  Felt real comfortable on it last night. It''s going to be a commuter for the most part. 98% Freeway in BFE..  Anything to look out for or what not to do (besides crash)?

i agree it does look 100% better with fairings. But my 95F3 has a head light and tail section..... she is basically naked. But I stunt, and have been down 10X in the past 14yrs.  Repairs are costly, but if your trying to learn and have fun,get protection, and worry about how she looks next season!
