I run micheiln pilot power 2ct tires.  I also like the metzler m3.  And yes the bike feels best at -1+2   imo

PDX, with just the front changed, does it still feel alot easier to get the front tire off the ground in 2nd or 3rd?

TMcNally, any sprocket change, down in front & up in back, will make the front end jump easier. In stock configuration, the 954 has rather ''tall'' gearing so any change you make, unless you go ''stunter'', will benefit the overall feeling of the bike.

Whoa im just kiding! No offense just read the topic a couple of times and decided to throw some humor in there. I run Conti Force/Attacks personally and love them. I also love the -1 +2 conversion. Dont pay me any mind when i say stupid stuff, just a little humor.

Looking to get new sprockets and chain, but it seems all the 520 chains i''ve found so far you have to have a tool for the rivet link. Is there such a thing as a "toolless" link. Or is it pretty universal that most people just go to a shop and have it setup?

You will need a tool no matter what kind of link you get, and a chain cutter to remove the old one, unless you really want to fight with unconventional tools.

Well, a person could use a master link w/ slide clip. but they''re not nearly as reliable.

The tools that TK mentioned don''t cost all that much.  I bought the cheapest ones I could find and they wore out after about 3-4 chain changes.  Not all for my bike of course, helping out friends and their bikes.  It all depends on how many times you plan on using it.  Some friends and I all chipped in together and bought the MotionPro Jumbo combo tool (rivet and breaker).  Changed the chains on 4 bikes so far.
