Maybe you can repack it. They sell special fiberglass to wrap around the inner core. Use stainless steel wire to wrap around the fiberglass.

man that system look real similar to the Vance & Hines that was on mine when i bought it. The old V&H system on mine was LOUD, to the point where it was annoying. I repacked the can but it still was too loud. so instead i bought a two brothers C4 slip on can w/ a small section of pipe. i did a little customizing but it fits rather nice and sounds awesome too! just an idea...hope this helps

Hi

I agree with vortex1114, this link http://www.funabiki.jp/dominor/bikeimage/zz-rvh.jpg should take you to a picture of an old type SS2R V & H exhaust with the badge removed.
V & H make two types of the SS2R exhaust, one with baffles and one without and the also make lots of little inserts to bring the noise down and give torque.

Hop it helps

Jim

hey thanks for the info guys. on checking out various pics of the vance and hines systems, i have come to the conclusion that it is not a v&h. the baffle is part of the exh and is welded to exh pipe. the last half of the system connects to the header pipes underneath the bike. can someone please help id this yet to be named system. thanks ash
