It wont stay running or idiling under 3 if i give it gas or hold it above 3 it will stay running. IS this the R/R. Yes the battery is dead also. but the stator is new along with everything else, aside from engine sensors.

The bike will stay running even without an RR until the battery is fully drained. One time I had it idling and it just ran till it killed the battery.

So should my bike start up and run fine with the bad R/R. It started up and ran fine no problems untill this. I checked and the wire that burnt out last time is the same one that burnt out this time. I installed the old R/R and the bike acted the same. Any ideas

no i charged the battery and it starts after a sec but i have to give it gas and hold it over 3k to keep it running. And it wont idel, and if it does idel, when i give it gas it drops and dies. never happened till one night i was riding and the whole bike died and its been doing this ever since.

Just get a new r/r and charge your battery and you''ll never have that problem again. End of story. Your problem is your r/r. You could buy a used 97-2000 gsxr r/r and it will work. I have a 2000 gsxr one and it works wonders.
