first off you should at least be running some water wetter or some additive and not striahgt water. water wetter is approved for most race courses as it has no anti-freeze in it, but it keeps temps in line. check power to the fan, check the relay the relay is under the seat. the service manual tells you how to check it, or im sure you can swap another relay over real quick off your buddies bike to see if yours is bad. if its not the relay. or the fan motor. then its somewhere in the wiring. good luck with that.

yea i run a little water wetter with it too, about 50/50.... im goin over to my buddies tom. and ill check the relay.... i checked the fuse today and it was fine

either the relay or the motor. and the motor is its own part number, seperate from the shroud and fan (at least on the 07''s) so it should be that expensive to replace..
