You''re not alone.
I''ve just started riding and I have a similiar problem.
Actually when riding I''m fine.
But if I stop for a few hours (sleep overnite/wake up in the morning) my srists (especially my left one) is a little soar.
I guess it takes some getting used to...

I fixed this numb fingers with a throttle lock.  I can lock it and take my right hand away for a few to relieve the numbness.  Please don''t try this on the twisties.  It also helps with the soreness.

I had the same problem as you did when I first started riding.  Its a combination of building the muscle control in the right places and being too tense cause your on a new, powerful bike.  Just keep riding it and you''ll see your grip losen up and you''ll relaz.  I got a set of Vortext clip-ons too and those are really pretty comfordable.  I''m 6''4 by the way so I am probably more upright with my arm length, which helps.

Riding one of these newer bikes these days for the first time is a bit like taking up a new gym course for the first time ..

Its gunna hurt for a while ..
You will feel soar a few days after each ride ..
But given quite a bit of time and some skill as to how to deal with your riding posture ..

You will get better and not suffer quite as much

(bugger , I think I just made it sound like an illness)
but then riding is a disease
